Belmont Male Singers Swansea

The Belmont Male Choir, Swansea, were formed in 1964. They were known then as the Brian Morris Singers.

In 1971 the choir appeared on Thames television talent show Opportunity Knocks. They were voted into second place both by the studio audience and the national vote. They appeared at the Royal Festival Hall in London the following year.

In 1986 the choir were invited to sing before HRH Princess of Wales. The choir have done many concerts throughout Britain including Birmingham, Newcastle, Manchester, Essex, Scarborough, Gloucester,Isle of Wight and Hayling Island. They have also presented their own Sunday Serenade concert at the Patti Pavilion. They have appeared on the BBC radio programme Good Morning Wales.

They have sung on several occasions in Cornwall and on HMS Drake to mark the 40th Anniversary of the D Day landings. They have appeared on German television, visited the island of Jersey for the 50th Anniversary of the VE Day celebrations. They have sung in Spain and in Germany.

The Choir have a varied and quite extensive repertoire to suit most musical tastes, as well as the traditional Welsh male voice songs. They sing spiritual songs and hymns, folksongs, and modern and popular songs from the shows.
